A longtime favorite of royals

Gairnshiel Lodge is a former hunting lodge used by Queen Victoria. It's been built in 1746 and further extended thereafter. Being a former Victorian hunting lodge, Gairnshiel has been a longtime favorite of royals, hunters and travelers alike.

Other members of the Royal Family who have used the Lodge for hunting include King George V, King George VI and the Duke and Duchess of York (who later became Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother).

Today

Gairnshiel Lodge is nestled in the heart of the idyllic Scottish countryside, next to the banks of the river Gairn. Be surrounded by the luscious green of the majestic Cairngorms, the largest national park in the UK.

Today the Lodge is privately owned and run as a luxury retreat for groups up to 18 people.
